This is how we're building Femma for women, with women

In spring 2025, we ran a donation-based crowdfunding campaign to fund our first prototype. Just three months later, thanks to new state-of-the-art Swedish AI, we launched a mini-beta with two early features: a short self-assessment and the ability to discuss the results with Femma.

What we learned from 6,500 conversations

We expected a few hundred coaching sessions during our mini-beta. Instead, women seized the opportunity to talk. The most frequently used words throughout the sessions were:

Stress. Low energy. Worry. Feeling stuck. Exhaustion. Loneliness. Anxiety.

These weren’t random themes, they reflect the emotional load women are carrying every day.

When asked about obstacles, two stood out:
Time and work.


Not motivation. Not effort. Time - because much of women’s time isn’t their own. Paid work, unpaid work, caregiving, emotional labor, expectations - all happening at once.

This confirmed what research shows: Women need support that doesn’t demand more time, money, or energy, because these resources are already stretched thin.

This isn’t a personal failure. It’s a structural failure and it affects individuals, families, workplaces, and society. The system is not working.

Why Femma is needed

Women need support that:

  • fits into real life

  • meets them where they are

Systems take time to change. While that work continues, women need tools that create real ripple effects today.
